Founded August 14, 1961, NACS is an international trade association
representing 2,352 retail and 1,991 supplier company members. NACS
member companies do business in nearly 40 countries around the world,
with the majority of members based in the United States.

channels of distribution including department, specialty, discount,
catalog, Internet, independent stores, chain restaurants, drug stores

million U.S. retail establishments, more than 23 million employees -
about one in five American workers - and 2005 sales of $4.4 trillion. As
the industry umbrella group, NRF also represents more than 100 state,
